Dorsal soft rays (total): 13-14; Anal soft rays: 9-9. Lateral line with 27 to 29 scales, 12 scales around the least circumference of the caudal peduncle; last unbranched ray of dorsal fin about as long as the head; mouth narrow, lower jaw spatulate and median lobe present on lower lip; two pair of barbels (Ref. 94477). |
Biology: |
Inhabits cloudy river in a wide flood plain at about 800 m. The river bed is stones and pebbles (Ref. 26134). Adapted to fast-flowing streams over hard substrate (Ref. 94477). |
