Family:  Soleidae (Soles)
Max. size:  10 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater; brackish
Distribution:  Asia: Mekong basin in Laos, Thailand and Cambodia; Chao Phraya and Malay Peninsula (Ref. 43281). Reported from the South China Sea (Ref. 41527).
Diagnosis:  Eyes on the right side; rudimentary pectoral fins (Ref. 27732).
Biology:  Found in large rivers on sandy to muddy bottom (Ref. 43281). Occurs along the bottom in flowing waters of large and medium-sized rivers. Feeds mainly on benthic invertebrates. Marketed fresh in mixed catches (Ref. 12693).
