Known only from large tidal rivers in the lower Ayeyarwaddy [= Irrawaddy]; mud or clay bottoms and strong currents that reverse direction daily. Collected with the use of large 'tiger mouth' nets that are reversed to fish in opposite directions when the tide changes. Feeds on relatively large invertebrates such as prawns (Ref. 44046). |
