Dorsal soft rays (total): 66-66; Anal soft rays: 47-47; Vertebrae: 36-36. Description: Characterized by having pale orange brown color in preservative; numerous faint dusky spots (two on lateral line largest and most visible); dorsal rays branched except first 24 rays; anal rays branched except first 8; pectoral fins absent; lateral line of eyed side unbranched with 64 scales, including 6 anterior to upper end of gill opening; very short caudal peduncle; ctenoid scales; tubular anterior nostril reaching anterior edge of lower eye when laid back; diameter of eye 6.3 in HL; depth of body 2.5 in SL (Ref. 90102). |
