Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: Pedestal Bank, Pacific Ocean. High Seas only.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-12; Anal soft rays: 23-25. This species is distinguished by the following characters: D11-12; A 13-15 + 9-10 = 23-25 rays; pectoral-fin rays 18-19; photophores IC 73-76 and VAV + AC 56-60 photophores; gill rakers on first branchial arch, including two angular rakers 29-30; origin of ? base under thirrd or fourth ray D; moderately deep body (3.8-4.2 times in SL); anus opened at the border between middle and posterior thirds of ventroanal distance; photophores on trunk are densely located in groups, smoothly arcuate curved row of photophores above anterior part of A and posteriorr section of ?? originated near end A (Ref. 129590),
