Max. size:  5.1 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 6; dH range: 6
Distribution:  South America: Amazon River basin, in the Napo River drainage of Peru and Ecuador and the Putumayo and Caquetá River drainages of Colombia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabit slightly turbid, colorless water (Ref. 9088). Eggs are deposited on the ceiling of caves and are tendered by the female parent (Ref. 47893).
