Max. size:  15 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Central America: Pacific slope of Costa Rica (Coto River) and Panama (DupĂ­ River).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits rivers with moderate flow and sandy bottoms. Feeds basically upon seeds, aquatic insects and bottom detritus (Ref. 7335).
