Distribution:  Central America: Lake Apoyo in Nicaragua.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 16-17; Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-12; Anal spines: 6-7; Anal soft rays: 8-9. Posterior insertion of dorsal fin to posterior insertion of anal fin 15.2-16.9% SL; anterior insertion of dorsal fin to insertion of pelvic fin 41.5-46.1% SL. Distance between the snout and the origin of the dorsal fin 38.9-42.8% SL. Caudal peduncle and head yellow or green in color (Ref. 75014).
