Remarks | Nocturnal species which occurs inshore (Ref. 75154). Found in deep recesses of caves in the outer reef slope (Ref. 1602). Benthopelagic (Ref. 58302). Exhibits the black gut phenomenon. In nocturnal predators, it appears to serve to conceal bioluminiscent prey in the stomach cavity (Ref. 46685). Swims upside-down on ceilings (Ref. 48635). Solitary or in pairs (Ref 90102). |
