Remarks | Found in the main river of the Lower Tana drainage. Observed to be more abundant in deeper waters of the river where it lives near large logs and stranded trees. Feeds mainly on benthic invertebrates. Its slender curved maxillary teeth very movable; most likely this tooth patch is used like a hoe for grazing invertebrates in the river bed. |
