Remarks Inhabits inshore and offshore coral reefs. Adults feed mainly on benthic algae but also on sponges, ascidians and anemones while juvenile feed on invertebrates like harpaticoid copepods and nemerteans (Ref. 9626). Feeds on plants and zoobenthos (Ref. 33).
