Remarks High-oceanic, mesopelagic species, found at 650-1,000 m during daytime, at 40-278 during the night (maximum abundance at 100 m at night). Feeds on amphipods, calanoid copepods, conchoecid ostracods, and euphausiid larvae and adults.
