Remarks | Occurs inshore (Ref. 75154). Aggregations contain 20-30 fish which are associated with isolated coral heads. Schooling species, inhabits sheltered lagoons, harbors and inlets. Often associated with small coral heads. Feeds on a variety of plankton, including larval shrimps and crabs, algae, ostracods, amphipods, pelagic tunicates, copepods, and fish eggs.
