Remarks Occurs in coral-rich areas of clear lagoon and seaward reefs. Feeds mainly on tips of branching corals and to a lesser extent on sponges, molluscs, bryozoans, tunicates, forams, algae, and detritus. Omnivore (Refs. 57615, 9773).
