Remarks | The name applies to medium sized fish (Demba Traoré). The 'nexembinne' is fished when they go to the flood pools (Mamadou Mamou Bathily). They do like the 'talage', wet their path so they can pass through to deeper waters (Diabé Sow). They are fished with a trap called 'suuxa' with a dead fish for bait (Gouran Diallo). They are taken off the water with a short net because they stay at the bottom in the mud, they have slippery skin (Samba Mamadou Ba). |
