Remarks 'Jack', i.e., to hunt or fish at night with a jacklight, probably alluding to the nocturnal feeding habits of this species; 'fish' from Germanic 'fiskaz' from same source as Latin 'piscis' from Indo-European word 'piskos' (p. 229 in Ref. 11979).
