| Quote | Name cited: Suezichthys gracilis (Steindachner & Döderlein, 1887). This species is confined to Japan to Australia and New Caledonia (Russell, 1985; Kuiter, 2002). The only record of this species from the Red Sea (Randall, 1994) was based on a substandard underwater photograph, probably of a congeneric species.
