Southern dogfish; Type locality, South-west of Coffin Bay, South Australia, CSIRO H 6628-05 (holotype of Centrophorus zeehaani, 89.3 cm TL, adult male). Known from the continental slope of southern Australia, off Forster, NSW (ca. 32° S) to off Bunbury in Western Australia (33°03? S; CSIRO H 2268-02), including Tasmania, 208-701 m, but usually at depths greater 400 m (Ref. 76933).
