Short description Morphology | Morphometrics

Dorsal spines (total): 0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8-9; Anal spines: 0; Anal soft rays: 12 - 13. Complete lateral line, 2 pairs of short barbels, no infraorbital process, 8-9 branched dorsal fin-rays and 12-13 branched anal fin-rays. Dark mid-lateral stripe from above pelvic to end of median caudal rays. A second, weakly pigmented stripe above mid-lateral one, fading away above anal base. Anteriorly on the sides, the striped pattern not distinct, with a few short, light, thin horizontal stripes scattered over slightly darker ground color (Ref. 43281). A cleithral spot is present immediately posterior to the gill-opening. There is a dark stripe along the dorsal midline, from the nape to the caudal-fin base. Both dorsal and anal fins have a faint submarginal dark stripe (Ref. 37788).

Estimates of some properties based on models

Phylogenetic diversity index (Ref. 82805):  PD50 = 0.5000   [Uniqueness, from 0.5 = low to 2.0 = high].
Bayesian length-weight: a=0.00724 (0.00324 - 0.01618), b=3.07 (2.88 - 3.26), in cm Total Length, based on LWR estimates for this (Sub)family-body shape (Ref. 93245).
Trophic Level (Ref. 69278):  3.0   ±0.4 se; Based on size and trophs of closest relatives
Resilience (Ref. 69278):  High, minimum population doubling time less than 15 months (Preliminary K or Fecundity.).
Vulnerability (Ref. 59153):  Low vulnerability (17 of 100) .
